    I’ve been in the military now for 12 years which means I’ve rented a LOT of houses, and worked with a lot of property managers. Shaun and Torie are the best, most efficient, and most helpful property managers I’ve been in contact with thus far. When I decided to rent out my own townhouse, I had no idea what I was getting into. Shaun took his time to walk me through every single step along the way. He spoke to me about what was best for my house and me, read through my HOA documents with me, taught me about the market, and broke everything down to teach me about what we were doing instead of just telling me what he was going to do as my property manager.     When my husband and I were preparing to list our house for rent earlier this year we interviewed a number of agencies, from quite large to small. A broad range of commission and fees. The one that stood out was CVPM. Shawn struck us a man of strong ethics and a hard worker and we decided despite the other agencies sizes; we strongly felt he would be the right choice because of his commitment to doing the right thing by us and future tenants. Fast forward to this insane market of 2021 and we decided we should sell after we signed. Shawn, not only was understanding but recommended some great contractors for repairs and the stellar realtor who sold our home. This man is gold and helped us every step of the way into and sadly out of being his clients.     Wow. I received Core Value’s information (along with a glowing review) from a friend and coworker who had recently relocated for the military. I had heard the name floated around a few times before but hadn’t considered contacting them until it was time for my husband and I to move, too. “What do we do with our house?!     Shaun is the best - simple answer. When I was stressed to the max and coordinating a move across country, he took care of everything. Anything my property needed, he handled. He took an incredible load off my shoulders and gave me the confidence that he could handle anything that needed to be done, even when I grossly overestimated what I could accomplish on my own. He’s always quick (most times instantly) to respond to emails or phone calls, and he really makes you feel like you’re his only client, even though you know he’s got plenty of others he takes care of the exact same way.He’s fair, always keeps me in the loop on things, and he genuinely cares about the people he represents. Could not ask for a better property manager. Would recommend to anyone wanting to rent their home whether it be short term or long - in fact he is the only one I’ll recommend when I know people are looking to move into or out of the Central MD area.

    Shaun has been an amazing property manager! He worked with me and remained flexible when I had to unexpectedly delay renting my home by 4 months due to COVID delaying my own PCS move. He helped me stay on top of what was needed so that my house was one less thing to worry about during a stressful and uncertain time. One of my favorite things is that even though I’m not his only client, he always makes me feel like I am. Great communication and excellent service!     We’ve been renting with Core Value Property Management since just before April 2020, so right as the pandemic hit hard and everything was shut down. Things have been challenging and a little rocky, but our landlords have been absolutely wonderful throughout all of it.     Good quality does not describe this company! Excellent quality with impeccable personal touch and professionalism is a better description. They quickly aided me in getting renters in my home when a buyer lost their job 2 days before house closing during the pandemic. They walked me through every step and made a very tumultuous time so much more soothing. They ensure your property is cared for as if it were their own. Even though that particular rental didn’t go through, Shaun kept helping me until I was able to find a place in a very difficult time.     Meet The Founder

    After 20 years of dedicated service in the United States Air Force, Shaun Leway wanted to take the values of Integrity, Service, and Excellence instilled in him to the Property Management industry. Maryland has been home to Shaun since 2013, when he and his family got station at Ft Meade and bought their first home in Crofton. Duty called, and after a 3 year tour in overseas, Shaun and his family returned to Maryland where he and his wife started planing for retirement from Active Military service. CVPM started at the intersection of Shaun's own experiences as a landlord while overseas and not finding a suitable property manager and a co-worker expressing the need for help managing his house when he got an overseas assignment.

    Shaun started CVPM while still serving his last year in the military, and wasn't looking to grow until after retirement, but doing a good job always brings more work, and CVPM grew faster than expect. Shaun is deeply motivated to serve all Owners and Tenants as if he was serving his God, treating each property as it were his own. Shaun keeps close ties with his military community, ensuring both inbound and outbound families have a resource to help them find a suitable house.
